LIFE MIGHT BE A COMPUTER SIMULATION, BUT NOT THE WAY YOU THINK!

SOLIPSISM!

It is in fact creepier than one thinks it is; simply put, it is the notion that nothing exists beyond one's self or one's consciousness. An implication of such a belief is that reality is an illusion, as in, one creates what one observes. What makes it creepier is that this empower's one's brain a bit too much--basically saying that only our brains exist...

Wait, then who or what is controlling one's brain?

This absurdity makes scientists and philosophers reject it. How is it absurd?

Most certainly can one apply solipsism to "individuals", in which case it would be applicable to whomsoever possesses the slightest bit of sentience.

Let us assume A to make a certain image of B( whereby the self of A is being considered).

Let us assume that B is an illusion and does not exist outside the self of A.

Let us also assume, for the sake of convenience, that B is conceived as possessing sentience.

However, since solipsism can be, by definition, be applied to anything that possesses sentience, in another frame of reference, the reverse of our prior assumptions could be held equally true, which is absurd.

However, life being a simulation may be explained in a different manner, which I intend to discuss herein.

CHOICE THEORY OF REALITY

Statement:
Whenever a sentient being confronts a choice, it opens a new reality whenever it elects from the myriad options a particular one, barring which he resides in the reality conditioned by the previous election.
Note:
This can be extended to situations whereby the being doesn't have an option. In fact, I strongly assert that there can never be such a situation; there will always be at least 2 choices even in the most obviously one-sided situations, This I define as "status quo".
 STATUS QUO:
Under situations whereby a sentient being is expected to act in a linear manner, he has the option to not act as directed and thus continue to exist in the previous reality.

Not wanting to complicate things further, simply put, let us assume that there are an infinite number of doors, each opening to a  possibly pre-defined path. We consciously(or consciously) choose to open any door and enter a new reality, either pre-defined or defined as per our actions.

This brings me to my hypothesis. I believe that events occur in our reality in a fairly balanced manner--paraphrasing Carl Sagan, ours is a universe both probabilistic and deterministic. Stuff follows patterns, dude! Stuff is expected to follow patterns!

This might sound as if Free Will is being negated--
But, I conjecture that our lives are defined as a function of some unknown variable(s).
Note: This function might have a range and domain( or might not have it, dammit!).
We know some variables--laws and phenomena that Physics, Chemistry and Biology have discovered and continue to discover.

What about the others?
